This page is dedicated to courtesy postings for California animal shelters with the goal of seeing more cats get into quality homes. Because these cats are not in our foster system they have not been evaluated for health or temperament. Please use this site as information only, and visit the cat at the shelter to determine if it will be a good match for your household. This year has seen a phenomenal number of cats in shelters, and while we wish we could help them all, we are hopeful that we can at least get the word out and help some of these great cats find the homes they are looking for.
About Us: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats. 100% of our funding goes toward the cats—no one gets paid a salary. We cover the entire West Coast for many breeds and work in tandem with Purebred Cat Breed Rescue on a National basis. Our mission is to educate pet owners, breeders, and shelters about our breeds, and to place our cats with Forever Families who will give them the proper care and love they deserve. We carefully match cats with their Forever Families by evaluating each cat’s personality, temperament, and special needs. Then we determine the best fit for both the cat and the new family. Please note that we do NOT ship cats. Adoption fee is $175 unless otherwise noted on the individual cat bio. This fee allows us to provide excellent vet care for the cats that really need it. The healthy kitties make it possible for the sick ones to be saved. When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives: the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in Rescue!
